The England manager has opted to stick with the identical England squad that triumphed against their previous opponents and delivered an impressive display in Serbia last month, leaving no room for the Real Madrid star and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the forthcoming exhibition match against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in Latvia.

Although Foden making a strong case for a recall after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the head coach has opted not to selecting two of the country's biggest attacking talents. Bellingham has been in the starting lineup just a single time for his club since his return.

Tuchel has found space for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his unavailable Arsenal teammate the sidelined player. The experienced attacker has not been handed a recall.

Tuchel has opted against selecting a direct replacement for the Magpies star but has selected John Stones, who had to withdraw previously. He has spoken about the Manchester City defender's significance for the national team and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.

There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was called up last month but pulled out injured and was substituted by the Milan player.

The manager stated: “A mere three weeks since the previous gathering and the last win, the latest display, so the question was why not bring the identical squad in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Tino and Noni and we bring of course Bukayo Saka in to replace Madueke. The defender was a late call-up previously; he will remain with the squad.”
