Manchester Synagogue Attack: One Victim Appears to Have Been Fired Upon by Police
In a devastating turn of events, a victims lost at the Manchester synagogue attack appears to have been shot dead by armed police officers.
Police Announcement Confirms Firearm Injury
The senior officer of Greater Manchester Police stated that a forensic expert has initially concluded the victim died of a gunshot wound.
“Overnight, we have taken advice from forensic specialists ahead of detailed autopsies scheduled for this afternoon. The Home Office pathologist indicated that he has provisionally determined one of the deceased victims would appear to have suffered a wound matching a gunshot injury.”
Suspect Details
The assailant, a 35-year-old individual, did not have a gun, and the only shots fired came from authorized firearms personnel on site.
Authorities think the victim was part of the group positioned at the entrance trying to stop the assailant from entering the building.
Outcome of Intervention
“Thus, it appears pending further forensic examination, the wound was unfortunately incurred as a tragic and unforeseen consequence of the urgently required action taken by our personnel to halt this brutal assault.”
Victims Identified
The two victims killed in the attack during the synagogue incident located in Manchester earlier this week were identified as 53-year-old Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz, 66 years old.
The men lost their lives when a car was used to crash through the property of the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue, then stabbed worshippers in a six-minute rampage that ended only when police with firearms shot at him twice, ending his life near the synagogue entrance.
Additional Injuries
Three more people sustained major injuries in the violent act on the Day of Atonement, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
Watson said, “Medical professionals have informed us that another injured person now hospitalized sustained a gunshot wound, which is fortunately non-fatal. Officials think both victims were near each other at the entrance, as worshippers acted bravely to prevent the attacker from getting inside.”

Attacker Profile
Police named the attacker as the individual, thirty-five, a British citizen of Syrian descent.
Local law enforcement reported that three other people – two men in their 30s and a woman in her 60s – had been arrested “on suspicion of involvement in planning of terrorist activities”.
