Based on latest figures, the number of centenarians in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the same period, the amount of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to hear from centenarians, their relatives or companions, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s seismic events and developments.
